Privacy Policy for KidsLearn

Intellara Labs operates KidsLearn - Kids Learning App, a learning app intended for children, including children under 13. This policy explains local learning records, information processed through advertising and device services, and how parents or guardians can contact us.

At a glance: child profiles, progress, rewards, and drawings are stored locally on the device. The app also uses Google AdMob for banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Local storage of learning records does not mean that the app or its advertising SDK collects no data.

1. Learning information stored on your device

Child profiles, learning progress, earned rewards, and drawings are saved locally to support the learning experience. KidsLearn does not provide an online parent account, cloud progress reports, or a remote account-deletion service. These local records are not stored in an Intellara Labs cloud account.

Local records remain on the device until removed through available app or device controls. To remove all local app data, use your device's app-storage controls or delete the app and its data. Merely offloading an app may preserve its data. Device or operating-system backups, if enabled, are managed separately through your device provider's settings and may retain a copy. We cannot remotely access or erase these local records.

2. Advertising and child-directed settings

KidsLearn uses Google AdMob, including the Google Mobile Ads SDK, to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Advertising helps support the app. Ad requests are configured for child-directed treatment, under-age-of-consent treatment, and a maximum ad content rating of G (general audiences).

These settings tell Google to apply protections appropriate to children and restrict ad content. They do not mean that no information is collected, do not guarantee that every ad is suitable for every child, and do not replace parental consent where the law requires it. An ad rating, a parental gate, or continued use of the app is not itself consent to collect or share a child's personal information.

3. Information Google may collect

Depending on the platform, SDK version, device permissions, and privacy settings, Google's advertising services may collect or process:

• IP address and general location: an IP address may be used to estimate a device's general location; this is different from precise GPS location.
• Device identifiers: advertising identifiers, where available and permitted, or other app-, developer-, or device-related identifiers.
• Ad and app interactions: ads shown, taps or clicks, video views, and other interaction information.
• Crash logs and performance diagnostics: crash information, launch time, hangs, energy usage, and related SDK diagnostics.

Google describes uses including delivering and measuring ads, analytics, fraud prevention, and improving service reliability and performance. The categories above describe potential SDK processing, rather than a claim that every category is collected from every child. 4. Narration and device text-to-speech

KidsLearn narration uses the device's text-to-speech services to read learning text aloud. Available voices and whether speech is generated on the device or through a network service depend on the operating system, selected speech provider, installed voices, and device settings. If a network-based voice is used, the speech provider may process the text and related service information under its own privacy policy. A parent or guardian can review the device's speech and voice settings.

5. Support messages and disclosure

If a parent or guardian contacts us, we receive the contact details and message they choose to provide. We use these to respond to the enquiry, investigate a reported issue, or handle a privacy request. Please avoid sending unnecessary information about a child or copies of their drawings or learning records.

Google receives advertising and diagnostic information through its SDK as described above. A device's selected speech provider may process information needed for narration. We may also disclose support information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or protect legal rights. Local learning storage and third-party service processing are distinct: a local profile is not an online parent account.

6. Children's privacy and parents' choices

Children's information is subject to special protections, including the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and, where applicable, UK and European data-protection requirements. Persistent identifiers can be personal information even when a child does not enter their name or email. Child-directed ad settings alone do not establish compliance with these requirements.

A parent or guardian may contact Intellara Labs to ask what personal information we hold about their child, request access or deletion where we hold it, or refuse further collection or use. We may need to verify parental authority before disclosing information. We will explain what records we actually hold and help with requests involving Google or another service provider where applicable; we cannot promise remote deletion of device-only records or information controlled by another provider.

Parents can remove local learning data using app or device controls, review device permissions and speech settings, and stop using or uninstall the app to stop future ad requests from it. Where applicable, parents may also contact their local data-protection authority about a privacy concern. An email to us does not automatically erase local app data or stop SDK activity on a device.

7. Retention and security

Local learning records are retained as described in section 1. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Google and device-service providers determine retention of information they process under their applicable policies; uninstalling KidsLearn does not necessarily delete information they have already received. Contact us for help identifying the relevant provider and available privacy controls.

Device security, access controls, and backup settings help protect locally stored records. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Parents should protect access to devices used by their children.

8. Changes to this policy

We will publish revisions on this page and update the revision date. Changes to processing that require additional notice or parental consent must be handled before the affected processing begins; publishing a revised policy does not itself obtain that consent.
